Another Year of Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for probably 15 years or so, and for me, it's the easiest way to go. I really like the ability to transfer all of last year's info into this year's return - for me, most all the information always stays the same, so it's a great time saver and ensures fewer errors from having to retype everything. It's relatively fast, and speeds the filing process. There are still a few areas that I feel need additional guidance, but those sections are few and far between.
What's great about it: Transfer of last year's tax info

confusing state Filing Instructions

If you don't want to pay the $25 to fE File the state there are few to none for instructions of what to print to send in. in MN you have to submit a copy of your federal along with the state but you provide no instructions as to which other forms are required to go with the Federal to the state.

It works and it's fast

I've been using TurboTax for many years. It makes my taxes fast and relatively painless. I heard people complaining it didn't work or hung up this year. I had no problems at all. I'll keep using it.
What's great about it: Got my taxes done in a little over an hour
What's not so great: It seemed to blow by some topics this year without explanation

easy to use, grabs all data from older returns and walks you through the year.
What's great about it: step by step instructions even on complicated returns

Turbotax used to be very easy to navigate and mark places to which you needed to return. You could take a quick pass at your taxes, use estimates for forms you didn't have yet and then return, update the Federal, which would then flow through to updating the state forms, and feel confident in the end product; that is not the case any longer.
I used Turbotax last year, (actually, as far back as it was available to do my taxes) but the amount of 2014 state refund provided for this year as taxable income was not correct...that was my first hint that the product now lacks reliability.
What's great about it: One very short step above reading all manual tax forms
What's not so great: User friendliness and dependable updating gone
