Gouges for efiles and extra states

The software is well done and easy to use. The prices charged for e-filing state returns and for doing returns in an additional state are way out of line.
This year, I chose to mail in one state return and will e-file the other state manually, just on principal.
What's great about it: simple, easy to use, feel confident
What's not so great: extra charges

TurboTax got their sanity back

For years I've been using TurboTax Basic. Last year decided toTurboTax stick it to the customer and I had to buy the most expensive version for a few lines on Sch C, Sch K-1, Sch E and a couple of other forms. After making me very mad, fortunately TurboTax refunded the excessive cost. This year TurboTax got their head back on straight. I bought Deluxe and State got my taxes done and helped out several family members with their very basic tax returns.
What's great about it: Didn't have to buy the most expensive TurboTax

Seems to guide you through all of the steps with plenty of details. Been using Turbo Tax for many years, will continue to do so. This is the first year I efiled. I let you know how it turns out.
What's great about it: Stepped you thru everything
What's not so great: Lots to look at if you go through the whole thing (but necessary)

What's great about it: I love Turbo Tax! I trust it and it is just the easiest way to do my taxes. I've been using Turbo Tax since 2008!!

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years now. It is easy and stress-free. My wife and I are salaried folks with no complicated investments. Turbo Tax is the way to go for us!

Focused on filing details

Generally, the process of leading one through the IRS forms was not difficult to follow and provide the information. Although I've used Turbo Tax for multiple years, I was prepared in having my documents readily available, other than my IRS tax ID, which the program made it easy to obtain.
What's great about it: Comprehensive approach
What's not so great: Used it before for years so no real con's.
