I like Turbotax. It is easy to go through.
What's great about it: Easy to go through
What's not so great: Show the printed form and be able to get help from that point easier.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have a situation where I was issued w-2 for non-taxable income. I searched turbo tax and couldn't find the answer. went to IRs website found I had to enter as taxable w-2 and then as a negative taxable income and quote a specific notice on line 21 of 1040. When I searched for that line in Turbo tax I found the original answer I was looking for and exactly how to enter it,
What's great about it: got it done without much pain
What's not so great: little harder to do if you have unusual situation

The walk thru of the tax questions couldn't have made it easier to file my taxes
What's great about it: TurboTax took the previous years info and pre-populated my tax forms, saving me time.

Have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for several years--makes tax preparation and filing very easy.
What's great about it: Easy to install and use, package is readily available at many locations.
What's not so great: No disadvantages noted.

No refund but....

Apparently, a tremendous amount of research goes into the TT products. I have used the Deluxe version for the previous six years and I feel secure in its use. No one enjoys filing taxes or dealing with the IRS but TT seems to make it as easy as it can possibly be.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; explanations and guidance available
