The Deluxe version on a PC did not give me a screen to enter the portion of my IRA withdrawal that is not subject to tax. I spent a total of 2 hours listening to music waiting for a help person. Twice after long waits I got disconnected so had to start all over. VERY maddening. The help people could not make the program ask me for this information either, so I had to end up forcing it onto the IRA worksheet. This input logic needs fixed....very frustrating to fight with the program all afternoon for such a simple entry.
What's great about it: bascially good user interface
What's not so great: some input still confusing

We got to the last part...filing both federal and state electronically and there was a message that an up-date was needed. We had trouble finding where to go to find where that was. Sooooo frustrating. Finally, we read of others who had the problem and there was one answer that was helpful.

I am a a US citizen, residing in the UK. I draw Social Security Benefits. IRS Pub 915 exempts me from US tax on social Security benefits, I cannot convince the tTurboTax program to let me enter a zeo in 1040 line 20b. I realize that you don't provide your program for the few people in my situation, but when I wrote for assistance I received a reply to the effect that the Treasury did tax, not the Social Security. I finally managed by entering zero for SSB and then entering the amount of SSB manually on 20a on the printed form,. The exemption evidently began with the tax paid for 2013.
What's great about it: Easy to use, largely self explanatory
What's not so great: Soc Sec prob
