How do I really feel about Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is a great platform for doing your taxes. I personally use Turbo Tax Deluxe due to some gas royalties I receive. These are simple 1099 Misc income, but my Turbo Tax carried over information from the prior year in a different location, so make sure you enter it where it actually belongs. I ended up with it on two different schedules in my return. I simply deleted the forms in the return and it worked out fine.
What's great about it: The step-by-step entering of all your paperwork makes it a flawless process. Seamless process!
What's not so great: I've used Tubo Tax for 10 years, this is the last year I can use my computer with Windows XP due to Turbo Tax changes.

Turbotax is Bae..

Because of the ease of use I was able to float through the taxes by selecting which areas I wanted to work on and then use the step by step to ensure I didn't miss anything. This pointed out a couple of things I would have forgotten.
Using the option of selecting what you want to work on gives you the ability to double check figures and trace them through the return. Unlike a lot of people though, I am very versed in tax preparation.
Other than the cost, determining how to handle the K-1's got confusing. In general if there is more than one type of income on a K-1 you have fill out a K-1 form in Turbo for each income item. Due to the fact that additional information is provided before getting to line item 1, Turbo did not provide an answer as to how to report when you have multiple forms. I just took a guess and hope I did it right.
What's great about it: Ease of you
What's not so great: Not clear on some of the help, cost

I was disappointed that it took me several tries to transfer information from last years taxes. Also I was surprised by the number of fees involved this year

Filed Federal, but not State yet!

After filing Federal, Turbotax does not say State still needs to be filed! For an Elderly person, they may forget to file what was not already filed! I could understand if State is not needed to be filed for year, then maybe this is understandable. Turbotax needs an alert for this issue when visiting software again.
