Lets me get a good nights' sleep!

I started using TurboTax to do my Federal Taxes about ten years ago (after I retired). Each year, the previous years information is used to fill in the blanks for all those boiler plate items that you need to get the new years' task started.
I collect the data, TurboTax crunches the numbers, I get to play more golf. That's a winning combination as far as I'm concerned!
What's great about it: Explains IRS babble in language I can understand
What's not so great: Appropriate only for uncomplicated tax filings.

Turbo Tax Should Meet Quicken

Bring California License Fee data over and Turbo Tax has no idea that the data should go into the designated space. Turbo tax can not find 2015 related estimated tax payments made in January 2016 - data has to be entered by hand. Turbo Tax has no idea what IRA data is in Quicken - data has to be entered by hand.
What's great about it: Quite easy to use
What's not so great: Turbo Tax and Quicken seem to be from 2 different companies

1099-MISC Trouble

I usually love Turbo Tax but the way that I had to enter my 1099-MISC this year was crazy. Nothing was easy about it and I went round and round for what felt like forever. I hope that this is easier to do next year!

ALL IN ALL, I FOUND PREVIOUS YEAR EDITIONS EASIER FOR ME. PERHAPS DUE TO MY DIMINISHING VISION AND AGE.
What's great about it: MATH SIMPLIFICATION AND ACCURACY
What's not so great: SOME OVERSIMPLIFICATION CAUSED ME SOME CONFUSION

What's not so great: The e-filing process at the end needs to be made quicker and more efficient.
