Didn't Have To Wait Too Long To Exhale!

As a divorced mother of children both home and in college, I didn't give myself enough credit to handle taxes on my own and enlisted the help of a friend for previous tax years. This year I decided that I had this and purchased TurboTax software to complete my taxes by MYSELF! I got a little nervous when my taxes were not evolving similarly to previous years. However, I slept on it and the next day I made sure to update all information and was able to breathe a sigh of relief! Plus it did not take me long to complete everything and file!
I have to admit, I love the televised commercials this year! Nice Job TurboTax!

What's great about it: Software Provided the Expertise. I simply told my story!
What's not so great: Wish I understood tax lingo better! I had to review and update information to make sure everything was considered.

Ease of Use

It was hard to figure out what was going to be in this return. Some of the manually entered W-2 information wasn't included from last year (It had been in previous versions).
I thought the steps were confusing and I couldn't figure out how to see certain things without going to forms and then switching back to step by step. I had started and stopped my return several times and it was hard to figure out what had been entered and what hadn't been entered. I found that I had missed some items on my final review of the forms and had to go back. I thought this year was just a bit hard to use and I wasn't certain I completed all the forms. Then I had a schedule K issue I couldn't resolve, but since it didn't affect my return, I filed with it anyway. Don't know why It my Schedule K couldn't have been eliminated.
Bottom line: I finished my return but I was a bit frustrated.
What's not so great: Some information didn't transfer from year to year.

The questions were clear and easy to answer. I'm a first time filer and Turbo Tax took away all the guess work and confusion.
What's great about it: Easy questions for first time filer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love Turbo Tax

Lover turbo tax. Helps fill out the complicated tax forms with easy to use questions and the answers then fill out the forms. Also like the electronic options and how that also make it easy and you get your refund quicker.

I really like the way Turbo Tax prompts you through the whole tax form prep and process. Really easy to use.

Superb Tax Program

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years, and I will use no other program for income tax preparation
What's great about it: Intuitive, Terrific Guidance, Flexible, Easy to learn
What's not so great: Boot Time is very slow
