Good way to file

The IRA section was not clear enough to avoid me entering dollars for my 401K account. I started putting in the amounts and when I got to the end I found that this was already covered in my early W-2 entries. A small inconvenience.
The explanation for HSA accounts could have been better also.
What's great about it: The question process works well, and the ability to circle back to change things is great
What's not so great: Only two minor items.

2015 Returns

Thank you Turbotax for your program. It has taken a very stressful task and turned it into something easily doable. Can not tell you how much this is appreciated.
What's great about it: Very easy with logical sequence to follow.
What's not so great: Would like cover sheet after printing of general information as you have in the past.

Data entry was extremely fast and easy. Transferring information from previous years was very helpful as were links to forms/questions.

I love using Turbo Tax. Have done so for many years. It is so much simpler doing my taxes on Turbo Tax than on paper.

This is the easiest, user-friendly tax preparation software I have ever used! It is truly time-saving and efficient.
What's great about it: The function of retrieval of information from the previous year's return saves time

Good Product

I've used TurboTax for 6 years and have generally found it to be an easy to use and accurate product. My only complaint is that, in the Guided method, some of the instructions don't quite seem to match the calculations I'm working on, or they seem to be a repeat of information that I've already entered one or two screens previously. The calculations for Other Income on form C is an example of this.
What's great about it: Easy to use, most instructions easy to follow
What's not so great: Awkward flow to some of the work areas

Not Thrilled

I was not thrilled with Turbo Tax 2015. I have a Mac and for some reason it was forcing me to create an Intuit account which I had not done for previous years. This is where the problems began. After more than an hour on the phone with a very polite and helpful person the problem was sorta resolved. I was told once I start, complete the return and file BECAUSE if I save, close and resume later it may loose all the work. I waited several weeks before doing my taxes. It took some time for the update to download and install but it did work without problems until the end when I was ready to file. It wanted by Intuit account again and I couldn't get in. It wanted this information to pay for filing the state return. The work around was to check the box for "create account later" after which I was able to enter my credit card information and finish.
The other surprise I had may not be a TT problem. I was not able to claim my son as a dependent because he earned more than $4k. He was a full time student and earned his bachelors degree. I paid for his tuition, room & board, health ins, car ins, etc ... he lived under my roof. Heaven forbid he should earn his own spending money. Go figure.
What's great about it: recalls last years info
What's not so great: had to create an Intuit acct and had problems getting started back in February.
