Updates Are Painful

On Turbo Tax for Mac, the update download window is informative and gives a good clue about the progress of the download. After that, there is no clear indication about how the extraction or installation is/is not progressing. If one is a bit antsy and clicks on the buttons again, one gets the dreaded rotating beach ball of death. It would be really nice to include a progress window for the extraction and installation processes as well as the down load process.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax works great and is easy to use.
What's not so great: After the download of updates, there is no clear indication that the program is extracting or installing the updates.

Every time I finish a minor section, the cursor runs back up to the head of the major sections. I then have to page down through the major sections to the one I want for several feet of display to get back to the minor section following the minor one I just finished. The cursor should just move to the next minor section when one is finished.
Also, I had a large number of non-profit donations. These should be in alphabetic order, rather than the random order of entry. It would make organizing next years' donation much easier.
What's great about it: Material well-organized from start to finish.
What's not so great: Too much having to run up and down the display to get to the next item

Each time i wanted to go over it I was actually having to re enter it. However that is little to the help it gives by saving time and breaking it down to simple questions. At the end of it all, its simple.

I love Turbotax

I've used Turbotax for years and love it. It's easy and intuitive, and I've never discovered an area it fails to provide for. The only slight criticism I have is that if I have basically finished but need to go back in later, it can be awkward. For example, I finished, but got a late 1099-MISC. I wish I could have just gone back into forms and added a 1099-MISC, but so far as I can tell, all I could do that way (from "Forms") was delete an existing one. So I had to go through EasyStep to get to the right place.
What's great about it: everything works
What's not so great: getting around in EasyStep to add things can be a little awkward
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
