Feels so good!

Overall was easy! I just wish it would GATHER all my stuff for me! THAT is the hard part! FILING with TurboTax, is the EASY PART!
What's great about it: Asks me everything I need-so I don't have to know what I need!
What's not so great: slightly tricky to figure out where to enter business expenses
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Grateful for the Guidance

Why would anyone do taxes any other way? Doing your own taxes is empowering -- you fully lay out every financial detail of your life as you fill in the data. The calculator at the top shows the impact of deductions. The steps remind me of every possible deduction. Unless your taxes are crazy complicated, the average person should be doing their own taxes instead of giving a portion of their return to the agency or accountant doing theirs.
What's great about it: easy instructions, tons of guidance, took the fear out of taxes

Software update problems

At startup auto update would want to do it's thing and I'd OK it but the process would hang up. Happened many times - then it would do an update as if by magic. I've .never been so frustrated.
What's great about it: Did the taxes quite well
What's not so great: Auto update task would work intermittently.

Turbotax 2015 Deluxe

I have used Turbotax for the last 6 years and find that each year becomes a little more complete and easy to use. What more is there to want when doing taxes. Compared results to a tax accountant one year and found that the additional expense did not uncover any real additional return. Of course this all depends on how you get your income. I have one W2, 3 dividend reports and 2 K-1s. Not too difficult.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use. Walks you through all the steps -- basic to relatively advanced -- in an easy to follow method.l
What's not so great: None unless you have extensive rental property, business income and expense or stock sales.

Fast and Easy

I've used Turbo Tax software for the last several years and will continue to do so. A lot less expensive and faster than having a tax person take care of it. I love the way it exports last years info.
What's great about it: Helps all the way thru the process. Easy to follow instructions.

Been using TT 4 years and love it... but state tax instructions could be more concise and explicate.

The donation assistant is a great aide in determining value of donated items. The step by step process is easy and fast.
