not perfect

Turbotax would not correct an "error" zip code for a charity organization. I live in Centennial, CO. I called Epilepsy to get a zip code for the Denver area. It was not accepted by Turbotax. I had to go back and delete the charity organization. I could not print the whole return after I electronically filed. I'm using a MacBook Pro which is update with the latest OS software. I hope i don"t have this problem next year.
What's great about it: mostly easy and professional

Turbo-charged returns

Turbo Tax is highly recommended since it enables the average tax payer to complete the required tax information for federal and state tax liability/refund assessments and truly expedites the grueling tax filing process which must be done every year. In the end, whether you owe or will get a refund -Turbo Tax makes it easier to accept, since you have the most updated information regarding deductions and can review/edit information as needed. The e-file is so efficient and simple - no long lines to wait on at the post office, plus any refunds are deposited immediately- usually with in a week. Before discovering Turbo Tax, every year there would be requests by one of the tax authorities regarding errors they found on my return and refunds took forever to receive. Now, over the past few years, with the "Turbo"- charged tax return software there have been no problems and the returns are hassle free.
What's great about it: Clear, precise insructions and reviews.
What's not so great: charge for additional state prep and to e-file

i started with the step by step and it wanted to download the dividends and i had trouble there it would not find my info to download. had to call turbo tax and they provided another way to do that. it was the option i will do it myself to enter income.
What's not so great: at first could not download my financial info had to call turbo tax and find a different way to download the information

Cheaper than an accountant.

Didn't provide SOME information from prior-year's return, even though I imported it (TurboTax did import personal data) but it asked me for some info from the prior-year return (i.e., 2014 AGI). Why can't it transfer it without me having to dig for it?
What's great about it: Questions, forms chosen.

What's not so great: IRA contribtion differnt show on fed and state
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

You charge for the State e-file. Who gets this money??
Isn't it easier for all involved when one e-files?
ALSO, When i e-filed, Turbo Tax asked for information which you already have on record.
I've had it with your "security protection>".
Even had my fingers "slapped" because my nickname wasn't long enough for some IT person's design...
