every year gets easier to use. but costs mount along the way as go through statw return and filing costs

The lead you through method of doing your taxes makes it easy. There were some slight changes from last year, so you had to read the sections a little more carefully.

Fast Fast Exceptionally Easy

Have used Turbo Tax Program for over 20 years. Program is so easy and accurate. Never any problems. You tell Turbo Tax what you want and it directs you to the proper forms. STEP BY STEP!! Great Program.
What's great about it: Program walks you through, Step by Step
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Took an hour to get E-file to work including NC state. No problem with Fed but state terrible. i assume it got filed.

Refund is undesirable

Advertising and the program stress refunds. The word refund says the government had money without paying interest. That interest is a hidden tax. A taxpayer who gets a refund has done a poor job of tax planning. I am not sure how much I trust a program that stresses refunds over paying the minimum tax. A way should be developed to use the Estimated Taxes and form W-4 worksheet to use the annualized method calculating quarterly payments.
What's great about it: Does excelent job of cumputing taxes
What's not so great: Stresses refunds too much
