Long Time Turbo Tax user

When I entered my IRS Pin #, your program went bananas.
1st it told me I had 12 errors, after several times telling me my
return was correctly filled out.
Then it took me to a form that wanted my life history with IRS because several years ago someone filed using my identity.
[ THANK YOU TURBO TAX FOR YOUR SET UP THAT ADVISED I HAD ALREADY FILED. I CONTACTED YOUR PEOPLE AND THEY TOLD ME WHERE TO LOOK, WHO TO CONTACT, FILE A POLICE RPORT AND EVERYTHING ELSE I NEEDED TO DO ]
The government folks got it cleared up but issued me an IRS Pin #, which changes every year, and without which, my return would NOT be accepted. In 2014, My Turbo Tax return, with the IRS Pin #, was e-filed WITHOUT problem.
This year, you added a very long Form in which my entries kept dropping out as soon as I moved to the next section of the form and had to be re-entered. It took me over an hour to get y'all to accept the form/ Then, I was told there were zero errors and my Return was ready to file. I still love TT but.......

TurboTax missed transfer deduction on my Wis retur

TurboTax did not transfer of my medical insurance premiums which are a subtraction on my Wisconsin income tax (Form 1, line 11). This cost me money.

Great Value - Wise investment!

I've been using TurboTax for the last few years and I love it. Starting with absolutely NO experience at all with taxes, it made filing quick & easy. All the questions are formatted for simplicity and explanations are available every step of the way in case you need clarification on a certain term/phrase or help locating information from a previous years' tax return.
TurboTax features an attractive UI that's neat and easy to navigate which comes in handy when viewing dates and financial records. The entire process is broken down into categories and sub-categories so you can skip around and fill out the forms while keeping organized. There's also the feature to "flag" a page where you left off so you can return to complete your taxes at your leisure whenever you have free time.
Finally, this cleverly designed software seems to read the user's mind at times by making well-informed suggestions during various portions of the process where your average person would become thoroughly confused due to the tricky wording. TurboTax also verifies your return when you finish to look for sections that you may have skipped over or that contain incomplete data. What may be the software's most important (and comforting) specialty is the automatic checking for IRS "red flags" before you submit your tax return & the option to fix those issues. Last but not least, TurboTax offers their optional fee-based "Audit Defense" service for full audit representation by a licensed tax professional to handle any headaches.
For great value and a hassle-free experience this tax season, I strongly recommend TurboTax!
What's great about it: Fast, friendly, easy to understand even for beginners
What's not so great: Lacks detailed explantions on a couple things

TT Deluxe 2015 review

TT Deluxe 2015 - when I first did my taxes it was totally wrong - said I owed taxes and review showed my income was lower than last year and that I had more deductions. It didn't make any sense. So I deleted the program and all records on my computer and started all over again. This time it worked correctly and everything made sense. Not sure what happened yet worrisome... I am not fond of this year's TT Deluxe. I have found typos and generally it is not as straightforward as previous years. I am somewhat concerned about quality management at this point. Yet the end product, after a lot of work, seems correct....I hope....
What's great about it: good to backfill from previous years
What's not so great: initially totally off and had to redo then got it right

awkward segments

at the end of each section this year it defaulted back to the summary page instead of the next subsection. This was awkward and annoying.

Have used Turbo Tax for personal federal and state returns since the year 2000. The TT process enforces a discipline on our personal bookkeeping that is extremely beneficial. Thanks, and keep improving the product!

Thank Heaven for Turbo Tax

TurboTax is wonderful - I graduated from college a few years ago and the first year after graduation I tried to do my own taxes with just the forms - nightmare! The forms were cumbersome, trying to figure out line items and which box went where was terrifying, I didn't want to screw it up and ended up asking someone else to double check it anyway. The following year, I tried TurboTax and it was so worth it; I have used it every year since. It's simple and quick to install, it's easy to use, every input clearly explains what it is, examples of what qualifies, what form number/box number to find the data on, e-files it right for you. So worth it!
What's great about it: Simple, straightforward, and concise
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
