Getting better every year.

Best yet. Gets easier every year. Can you find a way to get me to stop procrastinating and start a bit earlier? Started using MacInTax in 1985 and have been with you ever since. Also use Quicken 2016 and I wish I would learn to import from that software into TurboTax. Right now I tag all tax related stuff in Quicken and then print out by category the rest of the stuff I need for itemizing deductions. I'm sure there is a way to do it but I'm procrastinating again.
What's great about it: It was easy to go from easy step to the form.
What's not so great: Didn't start early enough.

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and the software has improved every year. Turbo Tax has made "doing my taxes" almost painless. I wouldn't dream of doing my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: Easier and quicker every year
What's not so great: no cons

Excellent Resource

I would recommend TurboTax to anyone who wants a first-hand experience doing their taxes, yet could use tips so that nothing gets overlooked.
What's great about it: Instructions are clear & concise and you can work at your own pace.
What's not so great: Have had trouble the last two years with the cd freezing, but helpful staff were able to download a version that worrked

Always Reliable

I've been using TTax for over 20 years and have always been happy with it except for the year they had the hidden Activation scheme and last year when it prompted for an upgrade when certain forms, that had been included in previous Deluxe versions, were entered. This year I had 10 1099-DIV forms that erased the PAYER name when I tried to EDIT them. I had to manually re-enter the names which then created 10 new forms. TTax then flagged the 10 original forms as being unused. This was apparently corrected with a 3/30/16 update which was applied after i finished the return.

Worse than last year. My own initiative resulted in listing other income (from personal loan)
I had hard problem with retrieval of my previous year return after I filed return for one of my sons.
I had to re-enact prior year return in order to have data transfer.
Another return, from 2013 for my other, disabled, son was un-retrievable.He did not file a return for 2014. I had to manually enter his personal data.
I went to the end of my state return and... had to look for ways to enter estimated taxes I paid last year. Good that I remembered, because this year program was about to conclude without reminding me of that.
Some other nuisance issues that I dealt with this year and not the last year. IS IT BECAUSE i USER LAST YEAR A PREMIER EDITION AND THIS YEAR ONLY DELUXE?

As usual, an excellent product an relatively easy for filing my taxes, I have had the same complaint for years but you NEVER change. Why don't you put in a password for TurboTax? A password is required for Quicken. I think that TT data needs more, or, at least the same security. Please look into this. I feel my data needs this feature.

Made taxe preparation easier

1 - Options in light blue hard to read.
2 - Greeted by initial message "Welcome back to TT 2015"?
3 - Loaded and checked updates - TT closed down and had to be restarted.
4 - Stopped and restarted next day did not start where I left off but started again - info still there
5 - Dividends brought forward from last year but when I edited to update financials had to retype payee name again.
