Too much Downloading!

I have limited bandwith.
I've been FORCED to download the WHOLE program 4 or 5 times over the course of the last 3 weeks.
Why do updates require downloading the complete program each time?
And why can't I simply look at the work I've already done without re-downloading the whole thing because of an update?
I could understand if you didn't let me file without updating to the current version, but this is extreme!

What's great about it: I love the program.

I got stuck in a loop, tried to make me buy the Defence. you asked about that before and I declined it.
What's not so great: tried to sell Defence before filing

I had a problem installing but was able to recent a very knowledgeable young lady who helped me right through it.
What's great about it: Easy to use and good support
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have to fix my kids refund, it was a Due taxes

Some of my kids friend said the parents claim then and they also, claim then self. It is possible to do that? I have all the responsibility in the house. I pay all the bills. I never see my children income. They are in school full time and working part time, to pay for their movies, lunch, and clothiers. I don't know if is something the Turbo tax is not including here, or those people are doing something illegal?

What's not so great: I have to work again in my kids taxes

Done For Another Year

I've been using TurboTax since it came on the market. Each year it seems to get a little better. It can be a little cumbersom at first until you realize that the detail entered up front saves a lot of time later due to the background processing.
What's great about it: Logical sequence, good explanations with links for details.
What's not so great: Continuing after stop somewhat erratic, some re-entry needed.

Just follow the steps and enter the info requested. Information on each step straightforward and easy to understand. Overall a good experience.

worth the money every year. keeps it all organized and simple, and you can have a good piece of mind that it is done YOUR way, not somebody just plugging numbers in and setting you up for an audit.
What's great about it: can review and cross reference
What's not so great: would be nice to toggle from itimized to/ from standard deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
