Really helps out

I have used Turbo Tax for at least 4 years. Very easy to use. Asks the right questions for easy fill in. I rated a 4 because always am uncertain if my pension is handled correctly.
What's great about it: Favorite: is the easy transfer from last year to present year

Great refund

See above. It should be easy to file one return electronically and the other by mail....I did not find this to be the case.
What's great about it: Fast, good tips, clear instructions
What's not so great: DO NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT IT IS NOT EASY TO FILE ONE RETURN ELECTRONICALLY (i.e. the Federal), and the other by mail

serious bug that locked up the program

This year the program locked up on me several times and had to restart the computer.
not clear directions on how to access some forms that I had not needed before had to spend time googling the web to find out that I could go to the forms page and put in the form number. there was nothing in the program or in the help that provided info on this. In fact form the info people were providing in the help comments it sounded like I would need to upgrade to business Turbo Tax to get a K-1 form.
What's not so great: the program locked up on me sereral times and had to restart my comupter.

Turbo Tax is a great program for do it yourselfers! Have used Turbo Tax for the past 8 years in a row and recommend to others.

Easy Peasy

TurboTax makes filing our taxes easy. It wil take you through each step and there are detailed description on pretty much EVERYTHING. Makes it a smooth process. Some of the terms they used were confusing but there are enough context clues that you can figure it out.
What's great about it: Easy, Helpful links/detailed explainations
What's not so great: Unfamiliar terminology
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I found out that you coul actualy use online for free - even no state filing fee but since I had an HSA which required an extra form that the "free" version did not support, I had to purchase the disc, and then pay the state filing fee - but other than that, it is very easy to navigate and user friendly.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: After buying disk I still had to pay to file state taxes

So far, so good. No complaints. Pleased with the results.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything. Left no stone unturned. This process was more personable than my previous CPA.
What's not so great: Took a long time, but was worth it.
