Not so great this year

I've used TT for years. This year is the first year I've had a faulty program that prevented me from filing. It's also the first year I've had to try and get help. The lady did help but there were issues getting her to sign onto my screen after she could not fix the problem initially.
The "Health Insurance Loop" held me hostage for a few days and then just disappeared. Very frustrating.

Lastly, your phone number ought to be front and center in bold letters. I had to Google it to find it!!
What's great about it: Telephone help lady was helpful and solved my problem
What's not so great: Health Insurance loop, phone contact number is illusive

Very very disappointed - box stated 1 free state return - will I guess that didn't mean you could also e-file for free. So disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to follow thru with step by step instructions
What's not so great: will not e-file for FREE your state returns

Deluxe Does it All

I've used TT for many years, before that another defunct tax program, and before that I did them without a computer (shudder), starting as a teenager. It still really helps to know what to look for, sort of like looking for a way to do something on a word processor when you can't immediately find it, but you know it must be there somewhere. I'm a bit old-fashioned and like to fill in all the 1099 information myself from the docs I get in the mail, rather than downloading them, so I can't comment on how that works. Overall, a good experience, IMO.
What's great about it: Complete package for most income and expense situations
What's not so great: None, but taxes are tricky, and TT gets a bit tricky to do the job

Income Tax Simplifid

All in all I feel this is the best software out there at a reasonable cost, easy to use and gets you your max refund back. Have been using for years and will continue to use!
What's great about it: Good Cost, easy to use, max refund
What's not so great: have to pay for State e-file

Easy As Pie!

This product is so easy to use. Took about 2 hours to complete and I have deductions. If you need to skip ahead because you don't have all the info just do it and go back when you find your amounts. That's what I liked about it the most. If you need help, you just click on the subject and it explains what that category wants. Very complete and user friendly!
What's great about it: Just answer questions, sooooo easy!
What's not so great: Not one con.
