Step by step help

I have used Turbo Tax for years now, and find them to be well versed and knowledgeable in tax matters. Even a novice can walk through their system. They take the fear out of not knowing what to do, and offer step by step instructions. The more advanced users can go directly to the forms they need, and still, if in doubt about something, Turbo Tax will steer them in the right direction and answer their questions.
As an Author, I wrote a book title "Kiss and Tell Your Story", and published it at the end of 2014, and Turbo Tax has helped me file the right forms for royalties.
I highly recommend them as tax time rolls around each year. You won't be sorry.

Love Turbo tax. Have used it for many years now and will always use it!

Taxes were simple

I hate doing my taxes, and mine are pretty simple and straight forward. Using Turbo Tax was extremely easy for me, and it only took a couple of hours to do. I would recommend it to others. I've used it for several years now, and never had an issue.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions and flexibility of design. Ability to import prior information a plus

Federal is Simple, State Mildly Confusing/Buggy

It is simple enough as normal, but filing on a Mac download is buggy. The federal part works no problem, but the State part is less polished. It is not clear that you are filing a joint tax return to the state unless you print out a copy/save as PDF prior to filing. Also, it kept telling me that I wasn't supposed to enter my first name, last name, social security, etc on the worksheet. But it asked me things previously...I had to delete multiple times before it finally let me submit my return. Also, it sort of pushes you to e-file your state taxes. It is not clear how you can mail them in or skip this step and file them free directly through the state.
What's great about it: works, cheap
What's not so great: buggy

Overall, the helpful hints were a blessing but having done this the first time we are hopeful it will be much easier. It took us about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete it in its entirety

2015 TurboTax Deluxe

TurboTax Deluxe is very easy to use. If you used it the previous year it will import all of your information to save you time. If you have all of your documentation/info at hand, completing your tax return goes pretty fast.
What's great about it: Plain and simple as long as you have all of your info and documentation.
What's not so great: None
