It is good tool to help with filing taxes. Period.
As many of the instructions and laws governing the taxes, it is complicated, too. However, it makes things easier for us.

What's great about it: Do not have to move around much and perform entering numbers into the forms.
What's not so great: It is sometimes too limited and there are no options for you to discover.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love TurboTax. I used other tax software in the past and always felt something may not have been right, or I didn't fully understand something with the software. So I tried TurboTax and I had continued to use it the last 5 years in a row. I will be with TurboTax as long as I have to file taxes.
What's great about it: Everything that I had a question about was answered in the software.
What's not so great: None so far.

I moved and had 2 home offices. Turbo Tax had trouble relating the correct worksheets to the correct office. I had to override the use percentage in places. My new home is smaller so it has a larger use % than my old home.
I also could not make sense of the home depreciation computed for my home offices but I used Turbo tax's numbers.
Other than that, It was easy to use. I love the way it pulls last year's data forward, especially carryovers that I had forgotten about. I hope I live long enough to actually use the carryovers-at least I know Turbo tax won't forget them.
On a scale 1 to 10 - I'd give Turbot Tax a 10. I've been using it since it first came out.
What's great about it: could not prepare my own taxes without it.
What's not so great: had trouble with multiple home offices.

Still great, but...

I've used Turbo Tax for MANY years, and this is the first time I remember having a problem with the software itself. Using a Mac, the program repeatedly locked up while it was "calculating". It seems like a problem such as this should have been fixed a couple of months ago, NOT 3 weeks before the filing deadline. It is fixed now, but I didn't even bother installing the fix as I was already done filing (by using the work-around). Also, it would be REALLY nice if tax laws were incorporated much earlier. I usually wait until mid-March just to be sure I've done everything right. I shouldn't have to do that!
What's great about it: Guided by questions
