inflexible too

It insists on adding car mileage despite job changes 3 years ago and no use of automobile. It wont let us file the state or even print it because it says there are errors in not reporting mileage. If there was no car, there are no miles therefore there is no entry.
What's great about it: Easy to use up to a point
What's not so great: wont allow changes from previous years
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Why don't you just ask on both returns whether a person wants to e-file or not? I plan on mailing my federal return, but so far have not come to the place where it asks if I want to e-mail my state return. Why make it harder than it needs to be?
Also, below it is not a proper question about "kids". Do you mean children at home, or grown?

Straight forward Q&A so you get through your Federal and State tax filing as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Takes you places you thought would not be needed, but saved you a bit more.

What's not so great: Doesn't allow for entering Utilities taxes if you itemize.

Easy to use

Looking to do your own taxes. Well this is the place to do it. I do not like going to a tax place and giving all my info to a stranger. Well all I had to do was give all the info that Turbo tax asked and filled out everything and DONE. I truly recommend Turbo tax have used them for more than 6 yrs. without a problem.
What's great about it: Answered all questions asked and it was fast and simple
What's not so great: no Cons had no problem at all.

I've been using turbo tax for 20+ years and have had only a few (very few) problems.
Quiken download don't work for me so I gave up on that.years ago.

Turbo Tax is well put together, works easily, fixes errors and is excellently integrated with the tax forms. Makes doing Returns very easy. As long aa you keep your documentation along the way.
What's great about it: Works very well.
What's not so great: Payment process does not work

Good support

Had the usual good experience with Turbotax. I've been using Turbotax for 24 years now. I did have a problem with traansmitting my e file. Brenda in Tampa helped me on the phone. She didn't solve the problem then but gave me a couple of suggestions which must have worked because an hour later my e file went through. Thanks Brenda!
