Worst software release ever

I have simple taxes 6 times i had to reboot because software hung up with caculating I would enter the same info and then it would move forward
What's great about it: When it was working it was ok
What's not so great: Would not stop calulating

Don't compromise, it's the best software. Don't pay someone else ( a preparer) to mess with your income & taxes to be paid. You can do it yourself with some organization and effort.
What's great about it: Great walk-thru all those detail IRS instruction
What's not so great: Makes me work to find needed records

each year turbo tax gets a little better. this year able to complete and file very little problem.
What's great about it: easy to use, clear instructions
What's not so great: state e-file too expensive s/b cheaper
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Getting worse each year....

Turbo tax was so easy to use a few years ago, but it gets more complex and less useful each year. Way too many unnecessary questions that add little value. Been using for 18 years, but getting to the point that i am considering just taking my stuff to a pro.
What's not so great: Too many questions that add little value. Having to check boxes before pressing continue...

Easy and Intuitive

Easy to use; however, you must review closely. Can easily enter information twice which can increase or decrease your return.
Should notify customer to review income, possibly entered W2 or 1099 or any form twice at the end of the review.
What's great about it: Pretty Easy and Intuitive

Federal - Good, State - Horrible

I'll just jump into the problem, we were part year residents in OK and FL. 2 months in OK, the rest in FL. No matter what I entered as the time frame we lived in OK, Turbo Tax kept on spitting out the % owed for the time we didn't live there. According to Turbo Tax Deluxe we owed OK $3000 (which would have been if we had lived there ten months, not two)...when done by hand, we received a refund. Super disappointing and frustrating.
What's great about it: Was accurate and easy for Federal return
What's not so great: State return was completely wrong
