May be last year to use Turbo Tax

The program now starts an auto-update feature anytime you start the program. Started it this morning, stopped for a little while then started it again. The program re-loaded the same 143mg of updated data. I'm on a restricted data allowance and this feature eats into my allowance. Please make this stop!!!
What's great about it: I like the program and have used it for years.
What's not so great: Uncontrolable auto-update

It's Not Intuitive

Turbotax Deluxe is frustrating. Section content titles should but don't, exactly track Form 1040 Sections. This makes it very difficult to compare Turbotax derived amounts with similar amounts as they would appear on a 1040. For relatively new Turbotax users this is aggravating. You need a usability expert to remedy this problem. I spent too much time going to your question and answer page. Perhaps next year, H&R Block.

What's not so great: Doesn't track the tax forms very well

Really great almost - glitch that aggravated me

Totally aggravated and teed off because I could not find a way to have my refund applied to my next year's Federal tax return.

most stupid Turbo Tax I have ever used

I have used Turbo Tax for years. This years was terrible. I bought the hard drive program and my wife used the on line version. We entered the same information and the results were $203 in the Federal return. There were times that we were on forms and the amounts that we would check off were different. I had to buy the state (NY). Both Fed. and State keep asking the same questions over and over. A number of time when you clicked on an entry it would page down a few lines.
This years program is ridiculous. Both myself and my wife are extremely disappointed.
The one star is only because it started up.

I've been using this software for at least 15 years. No problems, glitches - nothing! Highly recommend it to anyone who is tired of paying someone else to do their taxes. Why give away $$$ when you could keep it for yourself or family ??
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate, dependable

Easy to file

Overall very easy to use and almost anyone should be able to do taxes. Catches errors and also gives good suggestions for a basic user. Have been using turbo tax for 10 years and wouldn't use anything else:)
What's great about it: very easy to use and nice that it picks up data from previous returns. Also like that you can save in pdf form
What's not so great: State taxes seem to be difficult to work with especially with you work in additional states

Deluxe Turbo Tax

Not too good this year, and how much you might have prevented not sure. But the repeated search for data from previous years to prove it was me was irritating to say the least! But on the up side you are protecting us. Just hope that closing statement that ALL data will transfer over next year is true! This was without a doubt the most frustrating return I have encountered with TurboTax. Your website could not "recognize" my logon and attempted MANY times to reset it......just skipped over the mess and went around the end zone to capture payments for filing. Not a good experience over all.
What's great about it: I got a refund........didn't have to enter each and every flipping sale and buy from stock trading on Etrade it
What's not so great: Too much junk to add to prove it was me to be sure and make sure that all transfer next year it was horrible
