There is a bug in the program

I could not get the program to submit my returns and got caught in an endless loop. Turbo tax online help was closed. It would have been nice to have an email address where I could have submitted the problem off hours. Otherwise, Turbo Tax worked smoothly.

TurboTax is Back to Being Great

Have been using TurboTax for over 10 years and have never had a major problem. I have called for help twice in that time and got quick answers. The program walks you completing through everything you need to do. Only downsize for me is that we have 30 plus charities and when you add a new one it goes to the bottom of the list. When I go to add the charitable amount each year they aren't in alphabetical order so you have to keep scrolling down the list.
What's great about it: Was able to do everything I needed with the Deluxe edition this year
What's not so great: Last year had to upgrade to do same thing. Wish you could alphabetize charitable deductions.

Taxes Made Simple

I find this the most cost effective manner to handle my taxes.
What's great about it: Recalled data from lasst year.Asks the right questions to make sure taxes are accurate
What's not so great: No negatives since my taxes were similiar to last year

Had a problem using HCA one of us was on medicare the other had to use HCA and I think I paid to much for taxes. Turbotax would not break the two out for us.
What's great about it: Easy to use except HCA part
What's not so great: filing state way to expensive

Turbo Tax

Although I have always used Turbo Tax and am generally pleased with it's ease and thoroughness, this years version seemed to contain one or more "calculating bugs" - as the program would freeze several times during the process, always as it was calculating. This was a huge disappointment. In addition, the prices for processing State returns on top of what I paid for the software are an unnecessary burden to the consumer and a super annoyance. Finally, on top of all of that, the handling fees for processing a credit card payment and/or subtracting from a refund are ridiculous.
What's great about it: Easy, step by step guidance, and transfers previous years info
What's not so great: Crashed / froze several times during calculation modes; Increasing processing fees for State

I have used Turbo Tax for maybe 20 years and this was the easiest and fastest I have ever finished.

Everything was as I expected from last year's program except that this one neglected to ask me if I paid any est. taxes. I had a little bit of trouble finding out how to add payments. This made me very nervous, because without listing my quarterly payments I made, the return showed I had to pay instead of getting a refund.
What's great about it: quick and easy steps
What's not so great: failed to ask me estimated taxes I paid

2015 Tax jam

I used a TT 2015 deluxe and use MAC OS 10.11.1, had some problems locking up or just losing me, had to restart and start over.
