Still like this software

Been using Turbo Tax for years. I'm still liking this software. I'm retired and this easily installed on my desktop PC running Windows 10. This year (2015), I sold my home and "downsized" to another one. I found the sections on dealing with the "adjusted basis" and resulting capital gains to be difficult. It took a couple of days to figure out how to handle it. The main reason was my lousy record keeping and not necessarily the Turbo Tax software although I think this area could use some work by Intuit. A separate work sheet section dealing with improvements, expenses, loan costs, etc. that could be worked on "separately" from the tax return and then brought back into Turbo Tax would be handy. Otherwise, no complaints. The software works well and I'll be using it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy to install on a desktop PC, updates itself quickly, has never failed on me.
What's not so great: Screens have to constantly be scrolled up and down, sale of primary residence was confusing to me.

easy enough

I have used this for many years and have been very happy. It makes filing much less stressful than doing it by hand. I have them walk me through almost all steps to make sure I haven't missed or forgotten something. I learn from this. The explanations and tips are easy to understand. They even provided a tip for next year's taxes based on my age. This was very helpful. I might have misunderstood something when I completed the medical part because I didn't know I had to include my prescription/doctor fees since I don't have very many. It took a bit longer than planned. Overall I am very happy with Turbo Tax and recommend it.
What's great about it: gave tips for next year's filing based on my current form
What's not so great: somewhat confusing on the medical part

Great computer tax program

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years. The program has been getting better each year. Very user-friendly.

I had more trouble using Turbo Tax this year than any prior year. I couldn't select a section to finish entering information if I stopped in the middle of a section.
What's not so great: Unable to specify a certain section to review or complete.

My issue will always be with the cost of the TurboTax software.
What's great about it: Easy GUI to use.
What's not so great: I don't like the cost

Taxes Aren't So Scary After All

I absolutely hate these adult type tasks such as filing taxes. Since I started a box that I throw all tax related things in throughout the year, and with the help of TurboTax, the whole process wasn't that difficult (though maybe a little time consuming for a first timer). I'll definitely use TurboTax in the future.
What's great about it: I like that everything transfers over and that I can get questions answered next to each item if needed.
What's not so great: None
