Great Return

No serious problems encountered. At age 78, this is the 2nd time in my life that I've completed my taxes alone. The software allowed me to do it so I'm a HAPPY CAMPER.
What's great about it: Overall, completion did not take as long as I anticipated it would.
What's not so great: A few questions were difficult to understand.

Still too burdensome

Your instructions for importing my previous year's data from another computer in my home was more than burdensome. I finally gave up and started a new return as if this was my first Turbo Tax experience. Why, with my identifying information, cannot you pull my prior year's return?
What's great about it: Made it easier to find personal property tax deduction
What's not so great: Importing prior years from another computer burdensome

Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years. I also fill our my sisters and her three boys and my Mom. I am at 5 returns exactly. So I like that I can do 5 returns. That is great.
I like the ability to check answers. What if this person is a dependent? What if they are not? How does the medical affect the taxes? What if I want to pay capital gains on the sale of the house? What if I don't?
This K-1 for the estate, what was the effect? Good or bad.
I like immediate feed back that the efile worked or in one case, did not work? And we fixed the error.
I also like the help from the community. I wish I could help, but looked at some questions and I can't.
What's great about it: Easy. I needed to check different answers.
What's not so great: It assumes I know nothing. That is frustrating.

this was so simple, even for itemizing. But, I made an error in my ssid at the very beginning that it caught at the efile point. It wanted me to change it there, and I did, but came up with the same error. that wasn't the correct spot as the error was in my profile, so after some trying, was able to go to profile, change it there, go back to the efile point, where it now saw no error, and it sent. Still a great tool!!
What's great about it: Really easy to follow the bouncing ball, no confusion about what to put where.
What's not so great: caught errors could use a little clarification.
