This is now the 8th year that I have used Turbo Tax. I find it quick and easy to use.
What's great about it: Ease of use and plan english explinations
What's not so great: Not much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's all good

My husband passed away during 2015 and I can file jointly for Federal Income Tax. However, I must file separately for my state. Turbotax told me about this, and that was very helpful. However, my husband gets a small refund from the state, but since he has passed away, there is no indication how I need to mark who t he refund check should be made out to, or where it should be mailed. I don't know if that is a Turbotax issue, or if that is our state issue.
What's great about it: Able to tell me how I needed to file for my state since my husband passed away.
What's not so great: Does not have ALL information for my state form

Forms are Back!

Last year i was so annoyed to find that Deluxe (which i'd been using for years) would not do our (very) small home office forms as part of our return and i had to upgrade. At that point i stopped allowing Turbo Tax to automatically send me the product every year.
AH but this year my forms are back in Deluxe and i'm happy. Filing was like it always has been and i could follow previous years' info to make sure i was on track. Thank you.
How about a "go to bottom of page" button at the top?
One glitch... when i started to do the business/home office work sheets, the screen went blank with just a couple of buttons (continue with Deluxe, or Upgrade) and even saying "continue with Deluxe" resulted in blank screens. By going back to the return and starting that section over, the text now appeared and all was well.
What's great about it: Could do my entire return with Deluxe
What's not so great: Scrolling down to the bottom of the page after every topic has always annoyed me

Using TurboxTax since Year 2000

TURBO TAX is the BEST software for filing your taxes year after year. It is user friendly, somewhat humorous at times and you never have to worry about what you may or may not be getting. It guides you every step of the way.
What's great about it: Never had an issue with the software or eFiling
What's not so great: None

I've used Turbotax for over 20 years. Easy to use and understand, even when I had my own business. I will continue to use it in the future and always reference Turbotax when others ask if I've file yet...

Best Tax Program Ever!

Much easier to use than HR Block software I've used in the past. Search feature was awesome helping me find information and forms that I needed to complete my return. Explanations and walkthrough of each section of my return were very intuitive and clear. I would recommend using this program for anyone interested in filing their own tax return.
What's great about it: Understandable and easy to navigate.
What's not so great: Had a little difficulty in loading program, might be a hardware issue on my end.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using TurboTax for about 10 years now. Across years they have improved the software each year, making it more user friendly, smarter and faster. I like the way they have made the help function easily accessible,
What's great about it: easy to navigate, quick access to forms view from step-by-step view. Easy access to help from the turbo tax community
What's not so great: system gets a bit confused when dealing with foreign taxes paid
Pros: I bought or sold investments
