I have used Turbo Tax for about 9 or 10 years and have never had a problem with it. It is easy to use and walks you through every aspect of it.
What's great about it: easy to understand
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Could be Better

Purchase and loading seem to continue to have problems, 2 years in a row for me. More data could be pre-populated being a returning user. I have used Turbo Tax for several years, maybe next year I need to try another to keep my blood pressure in check.
What's great about it: Simple and easy to navigate
What's not so great: Every year there are always dumb issues

Only one gripe. The program requires me to wait for updates to be downloaded and installed overtime I go into the program. Sometime all you want to do is a quick check of a figure or to reprint taxes that have already been filed. Please add a "skip for now" option. If you must, you can require an update at the review stage before any return is filed.
What's great about it: After several years of using turbo tax, I find it quick and easy to do my taxes
What's not so great: see comment

What's great about it: Simple steps
What's not so great: Capital Gains on sale of 2nd home was confusing. Cost for 2nd state seemed high compared to the base cost.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TT Review
on March 27, 2016

In previous years, ability to efile in more than one state (one as a non-resident) took a lot of extra steps. For 2014 and 2015, I've been very pleased that TT could pull the correct forms into my main state eFile, which has avoided need to print and mail forms separately after the fact. Again, extra cost of second state is pricey but it does work well.
What's great about it: Connected the dots across two state returns. Its Deductible works. Appreciate ability to import brokerage info.
What's not so great: Extra state and extra state eFile is expensive, esp compared to cost of TT Deluxe + State

I WAS DISPLEASED THAT I COULD NOT BUY A SINGLE PROGRAM TO DO BOTH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE STATE. IT USED TO BE THAT WAY.
What's not so great: THE PRICE IS HIGHER THAN RECENTLY. I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO FEDERAL TAX AND STATE TAX FOR ONE PRICE.
