SAVE function

After each major topic (deductions, income, etc.) there should be a reminder to SAVE the work up to that point just in case there is a power outage or some such disaster that kills the program and the data is lost!. Perhaps a SAVE button (not under the FILE tab) at top or bottom would be OK.

first time use

first time users. was rather easy to use. helpful to e-file and when we had a problem with e-file was easy to fix through TTx guiding. only one time we felt the need for more info in order to put the right number (qualified long term capital gains). otherwise was a good and simple excercise.
What's great about it: rather easy
What's not so great: not all options explained in the state filling

Previous years the program was simpler.

Need to make it clearer when it comes to entering the 1099-R for Military Retirement. You say it is taxed differently than regular income, but putting it in is confusing. Know you can do better at this.
