The program seems flawless. I didn't find anything I couldn't ask questions about if I needed more information. I didn't find any way to apply my $1,080 State Refund to my Federal Taxes owed, $1,182.
What's great about it: The Program is great and answered all my questions.
What's not so great: Can't apply State Refund to Federal Taxes Owed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Super User Friendly!!

Have used TurboTax for 8 years. Process is very user friendly with easy to understand language. E-Filing is painless and makes filing simple. Never heard a beep from fed or State governments so no hassle. Automatic subscription eliminates any annual ordering process. Downloading the annual package requires only a few minutes. Why use anything or anyone else?
What's great about it: Quick, thorough, clear communication

Could not e-file

For some reason my email address is considered "too long" for me to have TurboTax Deluxe electronically submit my taxes to NYS.
What's not so great: Program got caught in a loop where it could not proceed, could not eFile

Fantastic!

I love Turbo Tax!!! It costs the same as if I had someone do it for me, but I get the satisfaction of doing it myself, the convenience of doing it over a period of time, and don't have to share my information with a stranger.
The question center has a lot of suggestions for navigating back to a section and correcting a mistake.
Maybe you could add a question like "did this change from last year" when a retirement or pension is not entered this year but was entered last year.

Makes Federal Taxes as Easy As It Gets

Basically love this way of doing taxes but program still has some hiccups. For example, dollar amounts over fifty cents get automatically rounded up but the federal forms get confused by this an entered amount (rounded up) exceeds what was on a 1099-R form. In order to proceed one basically has to lie and indicate a dollar lesser amount in order to be able to proceed. This is pretty minor but still annoying since Intuit should have anticipated and provided a simple fix. Have been using Turbo Tax for 18 or 19 years and basically like its simplicity.
What's great about it: Don't have to do any math or work with federal forms. Basically answer the straight forward questions.
What's not so great: Sometimes in the review at the end gets hung up.
