Love Turbo Tax

This is my tenth year using Turbo Tax and I'll continue to use it until something better comes along. I don't think that will happen.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love the personalization & the walk-thru

We are former income tax preparers. We have used Turbo Tax since 2013 and simply love it. It's the only way to prepare your taxes accurately and quickly.
What's great about it: Love the tax summary of what we owe/overpaid at the top
What's not so great: A bit over-kill on the review

Actually got a refund this year

As long as your return is fairly uncomplicated, TurboTax is a great program. I've only had one year in 20+ that I have had to get professional help to do my taxes and that was because the program did not support 2 different types of 1099c's. Otherwise,I have never had a problem with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: easy to do, if you have the info you need
What's not so great: I thought it said free efiling of state refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Why were we charged the filing fee for our state file before we were told we couldn't e-file it?

Easy Process as usual!

The Certificate of Rent Paid area was a little hard to find. It wasn't completely obvious, but the Help section helped me out!

Very Nicely done this year

This year seemed very simple to fill out. The questions were easy to understand and answer and I think it really routed you correctly and eliminated many unnecessary areas.
What's great about it: Everything seemed simpler
What's not so great: none
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Spouse in rehab - wife doing for 1st time!

I've always gotten everything together and my husband input everything into TurboTax. Fortunately he paid for the yearly upgrade in advance. He was hospitalized 12/3/15 and is still in rehab. I was able to go into his email and get what I needed to download TurboTax into my own computer. I was getting nervous as March was drawing to a close. I bit the bullet and decided I would have to prepare our taxes myself. TurboTax walked me through it step-by-step. So relieved to have that all taken care of.
What's great about it: TurboTax walked me through it.
What's not so great: Only my nervousness

i believe all financial fees should be expressed at he beginning of filing to give applicant a few of estimated cost example .
Turbo Deluxe users by the end of filing you may have an addiditional cost for state taxes and a few for transmiiting and a cost for deducting cost out of your tax refunds some are optional some are not
