Great Product - Has Become Expensive

Needs Improvement

The education section could be smoother. I'm a long time user and have my old files on my computer. Turbo Tax should know (or ask if I want to check my previous returns) what credits/deductions I've taken for education. This simply wasn't very smooth.
Form 2106 was also painful. My spouse is reimbursed for a portion of her mileage $.518/mile instead of the standard IRS rate of $.575. Turbo Tax didn't have a simple did you get reimbursed for $X related to these miles.
What's not so great: Education Section and Non Reimbursed Business Expenses

Trucker Friendly

Slow going and Windows 10 problems

I have used TurboTax every year but one since 1998. This year was the most difficult, caused probably by its apparent incompatibility with Windows 10. But aside from that, the Step-by-Step mode seems to require re-entering the same information too often. When it became impossible to delete incorrect entries, I had to resort to the TT support team. They were great and patiently stuck with me until the problem was solved.
What's great about it: Great help from "Fast Advice" support team.
What's not so great: Does not start in where you left off. Forces repetition of previous entries

Turbo Tax gives you a step by step concise way of filing your taxes. It will maximize your return for the most substantial refund. I have been using Turbo Tax since 2005 & will not change.
What's great about it: The detailed sections to maximize your refund.
What's not so great: Nothing

My taxes are not complex, but they are complex enough. It is great to have such an easy to use program to guide me step by step through paperwork that otherwise would be even more tedious by hand. It's a given each year that I will be purchasing a copy of TurboTax to get the job done.
What's great about it: Easy to install, easy to use, clear explanations
What's not so great: Still have to do my taxes...
