I always have had success and enjoyed using Turbo Tax. (at least as much as one can when dealing with the annoying task of paying taxes) It is a great tool and walks you through all aspects of the tax forms that concern you individually. It is nice that one can follow through the process systematically or choose to bounce around the topics at your own pace. You can go back and make changes or review each topic if needed, and then the final review and filing is easy and quick. Great product!
What's great about it: easy to use, easy to understand
What's not so great: wasn't sure about saving when stopping and then restarting later

Deluxe 2015 for Macs

I no sooner loaded the disc when up popped an "update" for it. That should have been my first clue. Because of the flawed Mac discs, there was a lot of frustration working inside the program. At one point it looked like I had completed successfully and then all of a sudden the tax due box showed "0" and wanted me to begin again!!! Finally made a call for help (after spending longer than it should have taken to find the number to call) and that's when I found out the Mac discs were flawed. There truly should be some way to "register" the software with the company so if there is an issue like this, contact can be made to those users. What I thought was a good idea turned out to be all too time consuming.
What's great about it: The person in the "help" area was truly helpful and am now able to file my taxes.
What's not so great: discs for Macs were flawed.

Great as usual but bugs this year on Mac

I've used TurboTax for many years with great results. This year is the same except:
1) There is a nagging bug that looped during "Calculations" on my Mac that repeated many times while using the software.
2) Some of the hyperlinks caused a 2011 file to open with no information in the text window.
3) The printing process could be laid out better for people eFiling the Federal and mailing the State. To print the state only and then print a copy of both for your records without having to go backward in the software. Maybe a checkbox menu could be used?

Outstanding software

I have a relatively simple return. Once I had all my data to enter, it was a "walk in the park." E-filing was simple.
What's great about it: Walked me through step by step.
What's not so great: No local (township) income tax forms available. Then it would be perfect!
