No surprises

Had TurboTax walk me through all the areas I needed plus a few I didn't know I needed and had no issues at all. Filed electronically and am now waiting for the return. I don't see how it could have been easier.
What's great about it: It walked me through everything I needed
What's not so great: It couldnt give me a million dollars back

State e-filing

While it would be very easy to e-file the Federal and State together, I feel the cost to do the State was excessive. It amounted to 8.1% of my State refund none of which I was having refunded anyway since I had it applied to the 2016 estimated taxes for the State.
What's great about it: Would be easy to use along with the Federal e-filing
What's not so great: Cost to e-file the State was too excessive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Garbage Software Program, Good Service

I like using TurboTax but the fact that filing between the web app or the computer program doesn't match makes it a pain to reuse them. They won't import from the other and you have to re-enter a lot of stuff.
The PC program kept crashing for me, I had to restart 4 times, but at least it autosaves in the background so I didn't have to go back to Step 1 every time.
What's great about it: checks for all deductions
What's not so great: program kept crashing on my laptop

All instructions and questions to assist in completing forms very easy to understand. Intuit web site is the problem. The popup window to order state forms, to pay for e-filing, to pay for everything were too small and cannot be adjusted. This window for this review is the same problem. The font is less than 1/16th of an inch. Cannot be enlarged.
