TT Interview process works well

Overall, TT is a good product. I had to search for the page where I add nontaxable income as I don't recall it appearing in the interview process.
What's great about it: Interview....mostly user friendly...
What's not so great: Not particularly intuitive. Sometimes one has to search for a somewhat obscure term or page.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not bad, one hiccup

I've used turbo tax for 5 years running and find it easy and accurate as well as cost saving verse an accountant. The last couple of years I have had hiccups in the system, this year it wouldn't let me transmit my return until I updated the software. I tried several times with no success and after reviewing on line help, I noted several other similar complaints. I enjoy Turbo Tax immensely but last years hiccup on stock sales and the need to "buy up" along with the transmit issue has cost you a star. I hope next year is flawless!

2015 TurboTax Deluxe

Did the job. Still tempted to switch to another tax preparation program. A bit expensive compared to others and feel like I am nickeled and dimed when I have to pay so much extra to e-file state returns.
What's great about it: E-filing very simple and efficient.
What's not so great: Seemed to be program glitches. Sometimes got stuck in calculations and had to quit and restart.

I have used TurboTax for many years and have been pleased with the ease and thoroughness. Every possible scenario is covered. There have been no problems with the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy to understand instructions. Very comprehensive

The cost of the program with a state program did not include the state e-filing which was a substantial additional fee. I chose to send in by mail because of this. The program was erratic, when I initially entered numbers I had an 11 dollar refund but after updating I owed $49. Could not find what changed. Frequently skipped from form to form even though I did not do anything I thought should change forms. I will look at options in the future

What's not so great: Cost out of proportion to function

Not good enough

I have used TurboTax for 8 years now. In the early years it was a refreshing, simple and straight forward experience. Over the past three years I have had progressively more 'glitchy' issues that have made the whole experience a hassle. For the first time I am considering going back to H&R Block. The problems have tended to be with my Ohio related returns and this year I am continually being rejected for a flaw that appears to be embedded within the software.
What's great about it: In theory simple to use
What's not so great: Deeply flawed state returns
