Great program

Good questions & it does the math for you!
What's great about it: The questions asked are very helpful.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A bit buggy

What's not so great: Hung up several times while calculating and trying to file. Had to click back button, quit, and reopen.

I miss the comparison at the end on how my return compares to others in my category. Also some forms did not explain what or why I was being re directed such as misc 1099 when my input was moved to a different area and then there were 9 errors on areas I was not even asked to jill out. I could have easily made a big mistake by clicking on the wrong box. better explainations would be good
What's great about it: still fairly easy
What's not so great: some featiures gone and harder to find some things.

Completed Estate Federal and State Returns

The automated version was not very clear how to handle returns specifically as a Personal Representative of an Estate. Your live representative on the phone was excellent and very helpful. Thanks for that; took a lot of stress off my back!
What's great about it: Very thorough and explanatory on most items
What's not so great: Not very clear on Estate Returns completed by Personal Rep.

Steadfast and True

This is a straight forward and easy program to use. I trust it year after year and find the help section and live person chat to be extremely valuable. There are many layers of security and verification procedures which put me at ease about privacy.
What's great about it: Year after year, the program acts and looks the same. Received prompt and thorough help from a live person when request
What's not so great: Q&A have canned answers.

Crashed and lost two hours of work! Also froze.

Very buggy with iMac El Capitan, extremely frustrating, took six hours to do what I usually do in three. Have used Turbo Tax for years, but may not next year.
What's great about it: Finally got returns filed
What's not so great: Crashed and lost entries for entire income section, froze near end of federal

I tried some other software products because they were cheaper but they weren't as thorough or as easy to use. So I came back to TurboTax. I've used it for rental property and my own business and those advanced versions are just as good as the versions for individuals. They saved me some money and lots of time (can you calculate depreciation on rental property?). This year life got simpler and I finished my standard 1040 in 2 hours (after I got my receipts sorted). That was a personal best (shortest time ever).
I almost never fill out a questionnaire like this. I do it only for the products I really like. I really like TurboTax.
What's great about it: The questions and answer format is really easy to use
