I love Turbo tax, I can file at my own pace
What's great about it: fast filing and fast return
What's not so great: darn, I owe the tax people
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Instructions could be made easier to understand for unique situations.
What's great about it: Easy, complete way to file taxes
What's not so great: Very complicated or Fed retirement annuity

Fast and Easy

It was quicker and easier than year than in previous years. Start to finish including installation was less than 2 hours.
What's great about it: walk thru was fast and easy. Easily edited recurring incomes or expenses
What's not so great: finding the 1099-Q form was not as easy as all other forms.

Loved that Turbo Tax went into my computer and downloaded last years information and took so much less time to prepare! Loved it!

It worked! Allllmost perfectly...

I have used TT for 3 years and never been sorry. This year is no exception but it did sour the experience when an "upgrade loop" left me chained to a desk for 45 minutes AFTER a long day of tax work. The software claimed "you cannot e-file until you have downloaded the latest update". Click on "update" and receive "all files are up to date. No update is needed at this time". On and on, over and over...what fun to be a cold computer's cat toy when you're on the VERY LAST STEP of paying your taxes. The fix involved manual downloading and all is now finished. Turbo Tax is a good product but I won't close my ears to future alternatives just yet.
What's great about it: Better than a dull pencil and pile of forms
What's not so great: software bugs that are sooo frustrating

I'm glad I purchased TurboTax!
What's great about it: Relatively easy to follow. I didn't know about all the exemptions for the lack of Health Care penalty.
What's not so great: The section on Retirement Plans and Retirement Plan Credit was unclear.
