Hopeful suggestions

It would be extremely helpful to be able to turn off the smart worksheets. One used to be able to do this in earlier additions, but not for the past few years.
It is often very difficult to track entries and calculations. I finally found the symbol to track entries (when available) almost totally hidden behind the pop-up box. However, many times it was not possible to track data - either where it comes from or is carried to.
The step-by-step interview and Help support for the Vermont state program is very poor. Most Help screens simply tell you the name of the form and the line you're on - no help suggestions at all.
There are mistakes, serious and expensive mistakes, in form IN-153 of the Vermont program that were reported three years ago and are still not fixed. There are numerous misspellings and incorrect directions in the state program that do not inspire confidence.
What's great about it: Seems to cover everything
What's not so great: Cannot turn off smart worksheets. - Difficult to track entries and calculations - Mistakes in Vermont State Program.

Complex made simple!

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and it has served me well. If I need additional clarification on topics, it is generally available at the touch of a button. I do not have to worry about the math and calculations to determine the tax impact of various issues or resulting tax liability.
My Georgia return is a snap once the Federal return is complete.
What's great about it: Step by step help for complex issues.
What's not so great: Sometimes offers more help than wanted.

Using TurboTax for a DECADE +

Filing State returns in multiple states this year. It was only AFTER I selected which State to file with TurboTax did the recommendation come up to file in the State you moved FROM first and the state you moved TO second. And I had of course chosen the new state.
Then I wanted to file thru Turbo Tax for the additional state return but was unable to access this ability and unable to sign-in to get any answers as to how.
Very frustrating.
What's great about it: QUICK, EFFICIENT
What's not so great: UNABLE TO GET QUESTIONS ANSWERED

This is my 24th year using TurboTax. The ease of use, accuracy and consistency make it my 1st choice.
My favorite feature is the almost one-click state return. California has some of the most convoluted rules, and that alone makes it worth the price.
I use the Deluxe version, and still am able to process stocks and dividends with no issue. The only problem I've ever had is with a K1 report, which is way too complicated, but there was a work around for the issue.
Next year is 25, and I expect the same great product, as always.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, easy to use.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbotax 2015

Been running with Turbotax for 20 years and as always easy to use with no major issues. I needed to go back for records for a couple of years - CDs I received were Windows 7 compatible. Icould not get them up with Windows 10. Took extra hunting to get what I needed - too much of my time.
What's great about it: Easy to answer all questions
What's not so great: CD versions not compatible with Windows 10
