Great as long as you don't have a Mac!

First time I ever had problems with Turbo Tax. It was like 2015 caught them by surprise. I had to reboot my I-Mac 5 times in order to get past the hung "calculating" areas. And when I tried to get to the tax help, I gave up after 45 minutes.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hung up on Mac 6 times! Long hold times for phone help.

Great refund experience

This was my first time using TurboTax and the experience was GREAT!! Easy to navigate through and answer questions to get the best refund possible.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate through
What's not so great: Paying extra for an additional state

Very Complete, Checked everything

I thought it was cool that every day when we logged on, TT checked all updates to see if there were any changes. There weren't any, but it was nice to see them checking just the same.
What's great about it: TurboTax had several suggestions I didn't even know about.
What's not so great: Took longer to e-file than it did to fill out taxes

Not so good this year

I upgraded to OS X El Capitan V 10.11.3. I was using TurboTax Deluxe. Half way through I was in the land of a pop up Calculating window that was a loop; i.e., it would not stop. I limped through to the end by selecting the TurboTax symbol on the bar in the far upper right of the computer screen, then selected Quit Turbo Tax. Then I re-launched Turbo Tax. I had to do this continually. The program also skipped over sections, like medical expenses, taxes paid, etc. I got to these sections by selecting from a list. Note: I started three times before I realized I needed to find a work around or go elsewhere.
What's great about it: I have always had a MAC. I have used Turbotax for years. Always worked great -- happy camper.
What's not so great: 2015 Tax Prep was another story - miserable

had some issues loading. tried to load updates at the beginning and it would shut the program down. when I waited until promped at the end of federal forms it worked fine.
