Nice Refund

When the program prompt for calculations, it would calculate but it would not continue, had to quit and reopen. Please fix for next year.

TurboTax

I do my kids return. It took me several emails to get his drivers licence information as he was away. HAD I known what was required up front, it would have been more seamless.
TO pay for extra (other than one state) again INTUIT does not keep up with TTax. I had to reset my pw AGAIN.
What's great about it: It does all the calcs, quickly. Easy to follow the prompts for more information.
What's not so great: Did not forewarn about Drivers Licence at submit time. Next time tell me what I need to do the submit of the returns

Turbo tax is easy

What's great about it: We have used Turbo tax for years. It is as easy use as an accountant. Entering the informationis easy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Got It Done

Followed the easy step instructions and had no problems or issues. I've done my taxes for many years but following the easy step is clear and logical and you can stop and take a break at any time (which I do often) and restart exactly where you left off.
I got a little nervous when I read the instructions on how to enter foreign taxes paid on some of my mutual funds: they seemed pretty complex. I went ahead and just entered the data anyway and the program put it all in the correct place on the correct forms. No problem!
I've found in the past that Turbo Tax is always correct, no matter what I think.
What's great about it: simple to use, no problems, no issues
What's not so great: Instructions for foreign taxes paid scared me; I ignored them and just entered the data and everything was fine

AFTER FINISHED DID NOT ASK FOR ESTIMATE OF 2016 TAX INFO IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AND ESTIMATED TAX PAYMENT FORM. SEARCHED ALL OVER TURBO FOR THIS AND FOUND NOTHING.
ALSO SAW NO BENEFIT FOR REPORTING MY LOSS ON SALE OF CONDO IN FLORIDA OR MY DAMAGE LOSS FROM FLOOD IN TRANSYLVANIA BEACH PROPERTY.
