Locked up

i locked up in calculating spins multiple times
What's great about it: easy to use. quick to file
What's not so great: I got locked up in a calculating spin multiple times and had to exit and reenter to get out of the lock up.

Easy and Convenient

Overall, Turbo Tax is the best way to go.
What's great about it: Everything transferred over, very easy to walk through everything
What's not so great: Couple of times it got hung up on "calculating;" had to reboot a couple of times

Great Federal Experience But....

Overall just a few glitches. Had some trouble entering a 1099-R as the follow-up questions - rolled a qualifying pension into an IRA - didn't fit my case. Also, when carrying the tax information over from the federal to state form my property tax information was left blank - even though it asked me to add the towns and dates on my state return. In the end I didn't qualify for the credit but this was not explained anywhere.
What's great about it: Federal return was great
What's not so great: Confusing to enter a 1099-R, carry over to state form not clear

Crashes on Mac OS X 10.11.1

It crashed about 4 times when it went to Caculate. It just kept showing the dialog box and after about 10 minutes I just closed the program from the TurboTax menu item. Only 1 time it showed that the program was not responding in the Force Quit program.

Too many bugs!

This was by far the worst TurboTax experience I'd ever had. For some inexplicable reason, TT had decided to "enhance" my security experience on my MAC and require a password I'd never selected or saved in order to access my past returns. After a number of pleas to the user community, I finally was able to access past returns and begin, save, and recall this year's return. Finally, I'd found the TurboTax I'd grown to love and trust. The screens were clear and easy to use, the help links were quickly available and actually contained usable info. Once the glitches were out of the software, TT was everything I'd expected.
What's great about it: When it finally worked, the "Guide Me" was terrific
What's not so great: "Helpful" security upgrades for MAC...weren't.

7 years, still going strong...

i have been using Turbo Tax now for 7 years strong. Every year it seems to get easier with complicated things being able to be explained. As my tax needs grow in complexity, so it seems Turbo Tax does as well.
What's great about it: Was really quick and easy.
