No Problems this Year

After last year (2014), I was worried about having problems using TurboTax Deluxe instead of Premier. However, as promised by Intuit, I had no problems. The program installed perfectly on my Windows 8.1 computer. However, I had to use Compatibility Mode to install on my Windows 7 computer, as I have in the past. I like to install and run on two computers, in case I have trouble with one computer.
What's great about it: Completed the return with no problems this year.
What's not so great: Had to install and run in Windows compatibility mode.

Easy to Load
Easy to enter information
Nice to have Turbo Tax pick up info from previous return.
Nice to have previous return data compared to this year side by side.
Learning how to return directly to a given form is more challenging, but once you understand where it is, no problem
E-File is fantastic.
Nice to have my return readily available on the computer. No need to print all those pages.

What's great about it: Easy to Load. Questions lead you straight through the return. Easy to understand.

Turbo Tax does most of the work for you. It guides you step by step when doing your taxes. All you need to do is fill in the information and the program does the rest.
What's great about it: Guides you step by step to get the most money for your return.
What's not so great: The price of the Turbo Tax program is expensive.

Made It Easy Again

I've used Turbo Tax for about a decade now and continue to be impressed with the interface. Extremely helpful to see tally as you progress through the guide. Easy to jump between different sections to see your progress or go back easily. Great application that I'm sure to use again next year!
What's great about it: Easy navigation, consistency with prior year, importing features
What's not so great: Needing to scroll on several screens could be avoided if continue buttons were a little higher (condense pages a bit)
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I moved

User Friendly -- Clean & Simple

I was asked about the RMD for my Pension -- Of the three optional answers none applied -- you need to provide a 4th answer ( None required ) -- see question for second part of #5 of 10 Income types
The second issue happened on the review phase on my UCC/Dow 1099 R -- Box #13. The system refused to take my original input & further refused my attempted entry of correct data during the review session. I finally left it blank and completed the other corrections identified on the first review. Then I retried the review -- got the same error and the system took the input it had rejected on the initial input and first review.
What's great about it: Walk through questions were clear and easy to follow
What's not so great: One question did not apply to income type - One review question did not work

I don't like the fact that now there is a refund processing fee to have your refund sent to your banking account. After all we already paid for the turbo tax itself and you have to pay a state filing fee as well. This was added this year and I don't like it!
What's great about it: Seems to cover most areas
What's not so great: Some things I thought I could get credit for didn't appear ( a new heat pump system)
