Great product especially if you used it last year

I was going to switch to another online provider, but found it much more difficult to use. The thought of a switch was due to the fiasco in 2014 when TurboTax tried to force you into an upgrade if you had any capital gains. If this ever happens again, I'll suffer the pain of another process, but would hate to see this happen. TurboTax is so smooth and effortless,
What's great about it: Carries over data from previous year. Can download forms from banks, brokerages, etc.
What's not so great: None

Easy but very slow response time

I would have given the program 5 stars, as I have in years past. But this year, the program is very very slow - maybe because of security features? Don't know. I have pretty fast internet FiOS 50/50, so that shouldn't be the problem.
I timed it and ever time I c licked to go to the next section it took between 1 and 1 1/2 minutes to refresh. Way too slow.
What's great about it: Easy to move throught the various sections.
What's not so great: Very slow response time

Continuous Harmony

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and the reliability has been excellent. I really like being able to jump from section to section when entering data or reviewing my input.
What's great about it: History displays are very helpful
What's not so great: Doesn't stop you from entering data that is obviously wrong

Clear and comprehensive!

This was my first time using TurboTax to prepare my own tax return. My accountant dumped me less than 4 weeks from Tax Day so I was panicked, but my sister steered me to TurboTax and it was just as clear and easy as she promised it would be. Next year will be easier, since I have now read through everything and know what applies to me and what doesn't. Plus all the information can be downloaded from 2015 for my 2016 return.
What's great about it: TurboTax Deluxe walked me through each step with clear and comprehensive instructions.
What's not so great: None

Pay taxes on your schedule

In the past there were a few cons, like slow downloads and having to include additional files to run the software. But TurboTax people are great at reviewing, correcting and improving its software! It may take a little longer than other methods but it's well worth it for the peace of mind that everything is correct!
