Death of Taxpayer

My mother passed away in July of the most recent tax year. Upon completion of her final tax return, turbo tax had me e-file both the Federal an my state return. Both returns kept bouncing (4 times to be exact). I finally called the IRS and was told that my deceased mother's tax forms must be mail in with a completed and signed form 1310.
Also your review, which I just battled with over a nickname, is too long and involved.
What's great about it: Electronic form completion
What's not so great: TurboTax provided wrong information

Great Way to Go

Easy to install, easy to follow instructions. Liked that I can pay the Feds electronically now as well as receive my State refund that way. My tax returns are saved as a pdf so I have all my tax returns for the past 10 years right at hand.
What's great about it: great instructions, easy to follow, very good security

I entered a non-employee compensation from a 1099-MISC and the TurboTax program forced me to act as though this was a business entry although I in no way wanted to do so.
What's great about it: Most entries were easy to understand
What's not so great: A questionable 1099-MISC entry

Easy to use

Glad you added back the forms in the Deluxe that you took out last year. This brought me back! I used TurboTax for years but tried H&R Block last year because of the forms issue. It worked OK but I can say TurboTax is much better and easier to use!
What's great about it: Liked direct loading of 1099's from Brokerages
What's not so great: A few of the instructions were confusing but not a big deal.

Too much trouble with program this years!!

I have using Turbo for years with great success. This year was a struggle with the programing. Hours wasted with spinning and going no where. Errors fixed but still continue to be errors. Information entered correctly but stated as incorrect. Reenter and it goes through.
What's great about it: It is done
What's not so great: Too much spinning and refusing to move - errors
