A breeze

Any other product just can't stand up to Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: It is quick and to the point. Instructions are easy to follow.
What's not so great: Can't really think of any. I've been using Turbo Tax since 2000.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Could not find out how to save part of my refund for 2016. The state you ask for but not Federal. I had to go to the federal 1040 form to add refund to save for next year. Must be a error on your questions.

Retirement entries for pensions kept asking about IRA distributions or annuities rather than straight gov't pensions.
There was a push to purchase "Premier" version even though our return was simple with calculations provided by brokerage company.

Best Tax Software Out There!

I have been using turbo tax for close to 10 years now and it is the only way I would want to go when doing taxes. Why pay for a tax man, when you can use Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Ease of use, maximum refund, I can keep going on...
What's not so great: N/A

Same As It Ever Was

When I finish a section detail and click done or 'bring me to next section' the main screen goes back to the top of the list.
Saw this issue with adding the different INCOME sections and when stepping through DEDUCTIONS sections.

Would also be nice that if I answer a section question with NO the the detailed sections below would update in a different color or title the buttons different to know I did not MISS them but that since I answered NO above that these were not entered and do not need to be EDITed.
Like the auto load of W2 and investment/bank information...
Maybe have a tools option to COMPARE TO Selected PRIOR YEAR'S Values. Besides the last year's values you show along the way I would like a full form when I am complete to see why Year 14 was a much bigger return the 2015. Examining all values helps to know if all numbers are entered correctly difference is due to a change in my filing values or did I just move into higher tax bracket or No Mortgage Interest this year or Tuition deduction is different this year....
What's great about it: Ask in-depth questions to get correct values on forms
What's not so great: After each section completed the main screen does not go back to where you left off

Turbo Tax program locked up several times!

I've never had an issue with TT in the past, but this year on my same Macbook Pro that I've used for several other returns locked up 4 times resulting in having to either restart the program or reboot the Mac.
What's great about it: Simple 1st Grade level walk-thru interface
What's not so great: Buggy program this year.

Good with noted exceptions

This year's TurobTax was good but while doing my taxes the program locked-up several times and I had to quit the program and restart it. This occurred about four or five times when turboTax was calculating various steps.
What's great about it: Easy to follow steps for completing the forms
What's not so great: Experienced annoying wait-time during Calculations

Turbo Tax Delus 2015

Very good software but there was an issue this year with the downloading of last years tax returns. You had to do an update first and the program did not make you aware of this at first. It took several attempts on my behalf then the prompt came up and I was successful in completing the update. This was frustrating! After this glitch was overcome everything ran smoothly. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and will use it again next year. It would be nice if you expanded the Deluxe Edition to include financial matters such as the sale of stocks..
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Problem with downloading 2014 Federal and State Taxes
