Tax Advice expert

Tax Advice expert was phenomenal.
What's great about it: Once I actually spoke to Tax Advice expert, he could not have been more helpful.
What's not so great: Took wating on hold for 45 minutes one day and 20 another.

I have used TurboTax for six years. It remembers the info from the previous year if you have the files saved where it can find them. Helps me remember what things to look for and walks me through each step. The helpful hints almost always address my specific questions. I usually only have one or two items I need to find more detailed help for - and TT provides the links to the topic.
I used to do it all on my own - just the IRS booklets and me. It would take me 10 - 15 hours. This year I spent about four, and TT made me aware of a new state program that saved me $1000.
What's great about it: It gets easier every year
What's not so great: Too easy!

Way to Go

Have been using Turbo Tax now for 11 years and I just wouldn't think about doing my taxes without it. My husband does it the long way then we compare notes and I always come out better and more accurate with Turbo Tax. Thanks for putting the old forms back in the Deluxe edition.
What's great about it: So much easier to do with Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Some areas still a little confusing to me.

Another Easy Tax Filing Experience

I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years because it is easy to use and reliable in its results. Doing my taxes is pretty quick and, like Chinese cooking, most of the time is spent in the prep work -- Organizing W-2, interest, dividends etc. Having the ability to download information directly from financial institutions makes the process even easier. It would be great if more would participate in this service.
This year, I was disappointed that one feature that didn't seem to work or is no longer available -- and that is the tax history summary and details tables and charts. For some reason, 2014 numerical data would not import so I could not easily compare 2014 tax elements to 2015. I had to do this manually. Very inconvenient. TurboTax displayed my history information for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 but 2014 simply wasn't there. I hope this feature is fixed or reinstated by TurboTax. I should also add, though, that all my personal information was imported successfully.
My wife and I have been victims of identity theft the last 2 years and I can definitely see additional layers of security that are in the software and also being driven by the IRS. Although it adds a few more steps to the process, it is well worth it to stop the incidence of tax fraud through identity theft.
Overall, one more year of good experiences using TurboTax. Will definitely be using it again next year.

2015 Refund

Twice when I was doing tax return I received an hour glass that it was calculating. I had to use mac force quit to exit out of turbo tax and restart.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: had to reboot my mac as application was hanging
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
