Stopped working and had to restart constantly

Got all the way through without many failures, until I went to pay for state filing. When trying to log in with an existing account TurboTax stopped working and kept restarting. Had to bypass this and type in as if a guest.
What's great about it: Easy to track entries
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Errant filing instructions

After mailing a state return for CT, I discovered that the address on Turbo Tax page "file by mail instructions 2015 CT Tax Return" did not agree with the mailing instructions on p.4 of CT Form 1040. Turbo Tax said mail to PO Box 5002, Hartford, CT 06102. On CT Form 1040 p.4 the correct mailing address is PO Box 2976, Hartford, CT 06104 -- both for a refund. Having mailed my return to the Turbo Tax address several weeks ago the CT Department of Revenue Services website does not show a record of receiving my return. The error has delayed my refund which is an important amount and will require considerable time and grief trying to discover what needs to be done to get the return processed. Otherwise Turbo Tax has been excellent over the years I have used it. Thank you.

The system does not remember routing and account info from previous years. Fill it in and ask if it's correct. It also requires full name, address and phone for state filing. You have all that, fill it in and ask if it's correct. You do this with all the other data from last year.

Always tough to get your data together and organized but once I did it was not as difficult as I expected.
What's great about it: Was able to complete the return quickly and I saved $600.
What's not so great: A little confusing on how to handle mortgage points. Probably because I was a first time user

Easy peasy

Had trouble loading and had to uninstall and reload, so that ate up a good half hour. But once it got going, it was the usual detailed but easy to understand way of doing my taxes. More reassuring than if I tried it alone myself!
What's great about it: It's cheaper than paying a person, who is probably using TurboTax anyway. Good guidance from TT.
What's not so great: It's time consuming, even for a small return--figure on 2 hours.
