I Like TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for 5 years. Each year doing my taxes gets easier and easier. The hardest part is remembering where I put the tax documents before I start my return.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: It doesn't enter the data for you. (LOL)

Turbo Tax Deluxe

started out using the free online version of turboTax Deluxe, but it forced me to upgrade to Premier so I could add my carryover loss deduction. My wife purchased the windows version of deluxe and it allowed the deduction carryover without upgrading to premier, not sure why the online required this, but after upgrading, the only way to downgrade back to deluxe was to clear and start over, so in this case, I just used the windows version of Deluxe and found it much easier and didn't have to pay the higher fees for Premier.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very accurate
What's not so great: none that I can think of, easier to manage than the online version of turbotax

What's great about it: Easy to use. Like choice of either "step by step" or "choose which section I'll work on"
What's not so great: installment sale is ambiguous. need to better distinguish "sold my home" vs. "sold rental property"

First year disappointment

I have been using TurboTax for many years. This is THE first year I have had trouble transmitting my return! I had tried multiple days to transmit and I have gotten various error messages. These were all on my iMac. I finally installed the software on my old Windows laptop, transferred my files to a USB drive, opened the file on my laptop in order to complete the transmittal of my tax forms to the IRS to complete my efile. Very disappointed this time around...!!!!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Tempormental to transmit

Turbo Tax Kudos

Best Tax software - period. I have been using TT since the beginning. I didn't like the directions my tax preparers were going in and they never seemed to ask the right questions to benefit me. I switched to TT may years ago and will continue to do so.
