Not much to say. I have used TurboTax for about 25 years. I have been tempted to try other tax preparation software but have not done so. I usually think about how easy it was to prepare my last return with TurboTax and just buy another copy.

Deluxe Model is Lacking

I've been using T-Tax for at least twenty or more years and have been pleased with the product all that time. However last year I moved to another State and computer, and found the program laborious.
First off, T-Tax could not find my previous year's tax filing on my computer, then when I located the file, manually, T-Tax was unable to import my data. So, I had to input all my data from the prior year, again, manually.
Secondly, T-Tax would not or could not, provide a form or listing for a $4000 deduction that my new State offers .Through utter frustration, I filed any way just to finish the agony of filing my taxes.

Lastly, T-Tax will not e-file my State returns, for whatever reason. T-Tax directed me to the Dept. of Rev. for my State to pay my taxes directly. What really sucks is that I cannot program my payment for a later date, so now I need to remember to file on my chosen filing date.
I'm NOT a happy camper this year.
What's great about it: Basic requiremnts were met, however . .
What's not so great: Didn't include ALL available deductions

2015 Experiance

What's great about it: The federal part flowed real nice.
What's not so great: MN recalculation was a bit troubling but it turned out ok.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

IRS rejected my return

but somebody else using my name and social security number
claimed a refund. The IRS called me and are investigating the fraud. I am supposed to protected by Life Lock

Easy Peasy

I have used Turbo Tax for more than 25 years. It has always been fast, easy and accurate even when I had rental property.
What's great about it: Fast and Accurate
What's not so great: Didn't resume at the point where I left off on restart

Okay

When I navigate from a place in step by step to check something else, say view a form or something), it lacks an easy way to get back to where I was. I often had to go back to the beginning of a step by step and waste time reiterating things I'd already done. Otherwise, it worked fine.
What's great about it: Step by step is fine
What's not so great: Loses place
