What's great about it: I like how the software walks me through all the steps
What's not so great: At times confusing to find data entered on forms

What's not so great: Entry of retirement income in W4 walk through is confusing. Also, suggest in the summary comparison providing the MAGI.

Needs work

I spent hours trying to get rid of an unwanted Schedule S worksheet that TT insisted I have before I could eFile. I tried following online help first, but nothing worked (and some of the information was simply wrong). Finally, I requested a callback and after a lot of attempts, the customer service agent (who was very helpful) finally found a workaround. It's pretty clearly a problem that has been around for a long while, yet Intuit still hasn't fixed it.
Another time waster was that step-by-step keeps taking me back to the top of the topic list. Even worse, if I have to revisit a section to make a minor change, it forces me through long and tedious pages that I have already completed and should have the option to skip. This is especially bad for Schedule C.
What's great about it: Generally does a good job
What's not so great: Needless hours wasted due to a TurboTax bug

Surprisingly Easy

Didn't take long at all. Once I had the paperwork it was just a matter of following instructions and entering information. Very easy to follow.
What's great about it: Good clear instructions.
What's not so great: All good
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Examining the price we pay for civilization

I love the convenience of being able to walk away from the process for break time with full confidence that I will be able to resume at the very place I left off. This takes a lot of the sting out of the process - it's darn near enjoyable. You get a feeling of accomplishment without the mental exhaustion.
What's great about it: Questions answered are placed where they belong on the myriad of forms.
What's not so great: Too many prompts to recheck previous entries.

Excellent Program!

Thank you very much for your help. I've used TURBO-TAX for several years now and have been more than satisfied by the excellent job that it does.
What's great about it: I likes everything about the program.
What's not so great: There are no cons (unless I get some bad auditing).

Not AS Good As Previous Years

Had to do my return twice, because the first time the program screwed up. It gave me a real large refund, but not the right one and would have cause an audit for sure. Some of the screens were not very good, i,e, lack of information on accounts..
What's great about it: It gets the job done
What's not so great: Some what unstable and slow
