Filling in the taxes was quick and easy especially with my daughter attending higher education this year.

Good thing I was a professional tax preparer. It was the only way to know that I had missed something that needed reporting and fixing. Information should be provided re: cost to file electronically. the fee for State filing seems outrageous to me, and I would like to know what the fee would be to file another Federal tax return. Basically, a thorough job of questioning and preparation of the tax returns. I know MA is a tough state to file but not as bad as NY.
What's not so great: no telephone number to call for "quck" answer, no information provided on costs to file electronically.

Overall it was fine. It never would pull last year's return in to "save time". It just had a continual spinning ball and forced me to restart after letting it try for 35 minutes. Also did the same spinning ball thing in the middle of my state taxes which was a little frightening. Had to close and reopen the file. All information was there when reopened luckily.
What's great about it: walked through each section with explanation
What's not so great: would not pull information in from previous year's return

I tried many times to E-File my state return, and they kept telling me to change my password for Intuit. I was finally able to E-File it, but I took much too long. Why did I have to change my Intuit password. They made me do the same thing for my Quicken. I was finally getting things to work but it took too much trouble.
What's great about it: Got the job done, almost.
What's not so great: They made it difficult for me to file my state return by E-File

Not as happy as usual

The Tabs didn't work properly for me at all. It wouldn't let me set some and once I had two it made me delete one before adding another.
I had a hard time putting a number in. It was small, I hope, so I ended up not putting it in. could not find any help in the help section.

Enjoyable experience

I enjoy experimenting with software for scenarios. It is easy to correct mistakes and it catches the ones you do make, just be sure to get your information together before starting that's the hard part.
What's great about it: Covers all the angles and easy to comprohend
What's not so great: why not a free state efile?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
